Cherokee Nation Opens New Tahlequah Casino The new Cherokee Casino in Tahlequah officially opened its doors at 10:00AM April 30, 2019. This casino is located in the Cherokee Springs Plaza on U.S. 62 south of Tahlequah, and replaces the original Tahlequah casino located 5 minutes southwest on U.S. Located at Cherokee Springs Plaza, the casino is nearly five times the size of the facility it replaced and offers new entertainment, dining and convention opportunities to the Tahlequah area.
The new Durbin Feeling Language Center, with designs unveiled Monday, will use a converted casino to house all of the tribe’s language programs under one roof in Tahlequah.

Ready For More Retail. Cherokee Springs Plaza is ready for more retail with available pad sites and a new 21,600-square-foot retail center. This mixed-use development is anchored by the new, 92,000-square-foot Cherokee Casino Tahlequah and features highway frontage with more than 28,000 vehicles passing each day as of Jan. Cherokee Casino Tahlequah is one of nine Cherokee Casino entertainment destinations in northeast Ok.
